Dancer and producer, Simone del Mar, may be known for sweeping the L.A. burlesque scene by storm, but she’s been a passionate performer since a teenager. Having acted and danced in productions that range from commercials to music videos, and with music
genres spanning from hip-hop to ballet and jazz, Simone del Mar is a true entertainer of the general art form.
Now focused primarily on burlesque, Simone del Mar exhibits a knack for connecting with her audience. She feeds off of their energy,
and they in-turn, are rewarded with a performance that’s sensual, intimate and of course…very sexy. Coined by the godmother of L.A. burlesque, Lili VonSchtupp, as “Simmering”, Simone has been bewitching audiences with her brand of sweetheart sex appeal. As one of
the few black burlesque dancers in L.A., Simone del Mar is proud to help lead the expansion of burlesque to a variety of audiences.
Since 2012, Simone del Mar has proudly produces Boudoir Burlesque, a burlesque show every 3rd Thursday of every month at Karma Lounge, which is located on Beverly Blvd., midway between the world-famous cultural hubs of Silverlake and Hollywood, CA.
The highly-successful show is now in its 5th year running features a variety of award-winning performers both local and international known. Believing that everyone needs a place to begin their journey, she cast newbies (first-time performers) in every show.
In 2016, Simone was honored to be added as the Associate Producer of the 2017 Hollywood Burlesque Festival. Always expanding, she teamed up with Sheila Starr Siani and started Insatiable Entertainment to produce a burlesque theatre shows in San Pedro.
Their first show's Legendary headliner is Burlesque Legend, Satan's Angel.
Simone del Mar has graced the stages of many of L.A.’s hottest venues, including “Monday Night Tease” at 3 Clubs in the heart of Hollywood on Vine Street. As well as her hometown, San Francisco's Monday Night Hubba at DNA Lounge, Red Hots Burlesque at The STUD and Burlesque at The Uptown in Oakland. She is also a regular rotating performer at Bobbie Burlesque’s“Seduction” shows at Harvelle’s in downtown Long Beach, CA and Bronze Beauties of Burlesque in LA.
Other notable shows include House of Blues on the Sunset Strip and El Cid – Hollywood.
In 2020, Simone modeled for Naughty Girl Shop Spring and Winter print and video marketing campaign. She also started co-producing Marvelous and Melanated, an all black revue of Los Angeles performers. This show features neo and classic burlesque, singers, comedians, aerialists and more. Relocating to New Orleans in May 2021, she has taken the city by the horns performing at Virgin Hotel NOLA, The Ace Hotel NOLA,
Royal Sonesta, Tipitina's, Kermit's Treme Mother In Law Lounge, The Allways Lounge, Madame Vic's and Hi Ho Lounge.
Simone headlined her first show in Atlanta where she also performance feedback review for up & coming black performers.
